This is one of our many jobs over at the Stroud Council offices but certainly the biggest one to date. We had to install a lift shaft into the building which had to be done over a number of evenings and a weekend.
The job entailed forming the timber frame for the lift shaft marking out the floor to the second floor and cutting the opening out of the floor, re-strengthening the surrounding floor then take the frame up and through to the ceiling. We then had insulate and plaster the area for the lift.
This was quite an intense job as we had to work to some very tight timing, as it could only be started on a Friday evening and it had to be finished and ready for the lift company to install the lift itself the following Tuesday.
This was a really interesting job and got a lot of good feedback from it which has meant more on the office site.
